Station ticketing hours are from 5:15 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., seven days a week. Weekend passengers are encouraged to purchase tickets before boarding trains. Please have small bills or exact change handy when purchasing tickets on board.

Old Saybrook station consists of 4 parking areas. There are 324 daily parking spaces allotted for Shore Line East commuters, free of charge. There are 124 spaces located in the Southwest corner of the larger parking area, identified by signs and a flagpole marking the entrance. Additionally, 200 spaces added in February 2016 are located on the South side running along the tracks. As of February 2016, Old Saybrook station does allow FREE overnight parking.
Free parking is also available to commuters along both sides of 3 North Main Street. Please note overnight parking in this area is prohibited.
There is a fourth, privately owned parking lot located East of the Old Saybrook train station, adjacent to the shops, which allows overnight parking for a fee.
