Commuter Connections - New Haven
The Commuter Connection is a special Connecticut Department of Transportation commuter shuttle bus service picking up passengers at New Haven's State Street Station in the morning and taking them to New Haven's central business district & the Sargent Drive/Long Wharf area.

Commuter Connection (New Haven) - Downtown
Serves Grove Street, Whitney Avenue, Sachem Street, Prospect Street, College Street, Elm Street, Temple Street, Chapel Street to State Street and South Frontage Road. Look for destination sign "Downtown." Click here for route map and more info.

Commuter Connection (New Haven) - Sargent Drive
This route remains the same, but will operate from the State Street Station in the morning and take passengers back to Union Station in the afternoon and evening. Look for destination sign "Sargent Drive." Click here for route map and more info.



Free Shuttle Between New Haven's Union Station And Parking

Effective January 2, 2008:

The free Union Station Parking Shuttle departs the Temple Street Garage and the parking lot at the former Coliseum site every fifteen minutes beginning at 6:30am until 9:45am.

In the afternoon, the shuttle leaves the railroad station every fifteen minutes beginning at 3:00pm until 10:00pm. Shuttle stop is at flagpole in front of the railroad station.

Travel time between the parking and the railroad station is five minutes. Please see the schedule below for specific trip times. Shuttle operates Monday to Friday. No fare is charged on the Union Station parking shuttle.

Local Buses
CTTRANSIT operates local bus service in New Haven. For more information on routes that operate to/from Union Station and State Street Station, please visit the CTTRANSIT website.

Milford
The Milford Transit District provides shuttle service to Milford and Orange. For route and schedule information, call (203) 874-4507.

Stratford/Bridgeport/Fairfield
The Stratford Commuter Connection shuttle bus provides weekday bus service to and from Stratford Railroad Station. The Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority provides bus connections to Bridgeport, Fairfield, and Trumbull. For route and schedule information, call (203) 333-3031.


Norwalk
The Norwalk Commuter Connection Travels between the South Norwalk train station and work sites north of the Merritt Parkway along Route 7. Other local bus routes provide service from South Norwalk and East Norwalk along Connecticut Avenue (Route 1). For information call (203) 852-0000.


Stamford
The stamford Commuter Connection shuttle bus and other local bus routes provide convenient travel between the train station and employer sites in downtown Stamford and to locations north and south of downtown. For route and schedule information, call CT Transit at (203) 327-7433.


Greenwich
