Commuter Connections - New Haven
The Commuter Connection is a special commuter shuttle bus service that provides access to locations that are not within walking distance of the New Haven’s State Street Station and Union Station.
In the morning, Commuter Connection buses wait in front of State Street Station. A few minutes after each train arrives, the buses depart and loop through downtown New Haven and the Sargent Drive/Long Wharf area.
In the evening, buses begin their loop through downtown New Haven and the Sargent Drive/Long Wharf Drive area approximately 20 minutes before Shore Line East departure times. Passengers arrive at Union Station approximately 5 minutes before SLE departures. If a shuttle bus arrives at Union Station late, the SLE train will wait.
Commuter Connection (New Haven) - Downtown
Serves Grove Street, Whitney Avenue, Sachem Street, Prospect Street, College Street, Elm Street, Temple Street, Chapel Street to State Street and South Frontage Road. Look for destination sign "Downtown." Click here for route map and more info.
Commuter Connection (New Haven) - Sargent Drive
This route remains the same, but will operate from the State Street Station in the morning and take passengers back to Union Station in the afternoon and evening. Look for destination sign "Sargent Drive." Click here for route map and more info.
Free Shuttle Between New Haven's Union Station And Parking
A free Union Station Parking Shuttle departs the Temple Street Garage and the parking lot at the former Coliseum site every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30am until 9:45am.
In the afternoon, the shuttle leaves Union Station every 15 minutes beginning at 3:00pm until 10:00pm. The shuttle stop is marked by a flagpole in front of the railroad station.
Travel time between the parking and Union Station is five minutes. Please see the schedule below for specific trip times. Shuttle operates Monday to Friday. No fare is charged on the Union Station parking shuttle.

The Norwalk Commuter Connection travels between the South Norwalk train station and work sites north of the Merritt Parkway along Route 7. Other local bus routes provide service from South Norwalk and East Norwalk along Connecticut Avenue (Route 1). For information, call (203) 852-0000.
